Utah Contractor Leads ("we," "us" or "our") runs Utah Water Softener Quotes, a free service that connects Utah homeowners with a local installer for a water softener or water treatment quote. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and who we share it with. It covers our website, utahcontractorleads.com, and the quote request forms we run on Facebook and Instagram.
The short version: when you request a quote, we send your request to one installer who serves your area. That installer is named on the form, and they pay us for the request. Other than that installer, we don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address, street address, city and ZIP code, plus your answers to our questions, such as what you're looking for, your timeline and whether you own the home.
- Information from Facebook and Instagram. Our forms run on Meta's platforms, and Meta may fill in some fields from your profile. You can review and edit them before you submit. Meta's own use of your information is covered by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Our website. Our website doesn't use advertising cookies or analytics tools. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
How we use your information
- To send your request to one installer who serves your area, so they can contact you about a quote.
- To check requests for errors, fraud and duplicates.
- To keep records of the requests we deliver and bill for.
- To contact you about your request, if needed.
- To measure and improve our ads.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- One installer. We send your request to one installer that serves your area. The form you fill out names that installer, and by submitting it you agree they may contact you. Installers pay us a fee for each request. We don't send your request to any other installer.
- Service providers. We use companies that help us run our service, such as Meta for forms and ads, Google for email and records, and tools that deliver requests to installers by text and email. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Legal reasons. We may share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must follow this policy.
We don't share your phone number, or your consent to be contacted, with anyone other than the installer named on your form.
Calls and texts
The installer named on your form may call or text you at the number you provide about your quote. You can tell them to stop at any time, or reply STOP to their texts. Message and data rates may apply. We don't send marketing texts to homeowners.
How long we keep it
We keep request records for up to 24 months for billing, disputes and legal reasons, and then delete them. The installer who received your request keeps their own records under their own policies.
Your choices
- You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by emailing zach@utahcontractorleads.com. We'll pass deletion requests along to the installer who received your request.
- To stop calls or texts from your installer, tell them or reply STOP.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, such as two-factor login on our accounts, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
Our service is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
